Beatles Yoga Coast to Coast in 2011!

It's been quite some time since I've written on this blog, but a lot has happened for All You Need Is Love Yoga. Just before our spontaneous elopement, the class debuted on the west coast at One Door Yoga in San Anselmo, CA, just outside of San Francisco. It was special to spend a day of our vacation meeting with yogis in a new city, and a city I love so much!

This year the dream of mine to take the class on the road continues. I love to travel, love to do yoga while traveling, and The Beatles are often a soundtrack to my adventures. So far this year the class debuted in Cambridge, MA at Art & Soul Yoga with great success being advertised as "editors picks" for Valentines Day in both The Pheonix and The Boston Globe.

In less than 48 hours I'll board a plane to San Francisco to meet up with my husband (yes, husband! Still feels so new to say) Liam. He's been on the road with Josh Ritter & The Royal City Band, and it's hard to be apart. Beatles Yoga is making it possible for us to see each other. While no classes are booked during my night in SF, I'll enjoy the guys rock the historical stage of The Fillmore, and then follow them to Los Angeles where I will introduce LA to Beatles Yoga! Liberation Yoga agreed to host the class, and I couldn't be more excited. See the attached flier.

Next month Manhattan studio Om Factory will debut it in the city on March 12! It's been an amazing ride in Brooklyn, but it's definitely time to bring it to new places with new faces. Don't worry, Brooklyn, the class will always have a home here, especially at Jaya Yoga Center who has helped the class grow exponentially, and at Midwood Martial Arts on March 6.

April will be another exciting month as I'll be traveling to Simsbury, CT (Liam's hometown and the in-laws residence) for a class on April Fools Day! Enlightened Way will be welcoming the class to a new studio. Mid April I'll be traveling to Florida to the birthplace of the class and my hometown for classes all over the greater Orlando area, and more cities soon to come! Always check www.beatlesyoga.com for schedule.

This is truly a dream coming true. I had many jobs before teaching yoga, college and post-college attempts at what I thought my career should be. I never was truly happy at any of them. I always felt like there was something missing. I started looking at signs around me, and they all led me to teaching yoga. I'm always a student, constantly learning, but as I learn my teaching evolves and it brings me great happiness to share yoga with others. When I add music to the yoga atmosphere, especially The Beatles, I feel a connection to each person in the room. We are all sharing something in that moment that is meaningful to our lives whether it be one song in the mix, smiling and laughing together, or feeling complete relaxation and peace. There are many reasons that I teach, but the love and energy that's generated from practicing yoga and listening to (sometimes everyone singing) The Beatles is incomparable.

Let's take it to all 50 states! Love is all you need.
